If you already have DESelect Segment enabled in your organisation, but want to get it enabled and have a commercial agreement in place for additional business units, you can follow the steps below to activate DESelect in the new business units:
- Go to Setup > Platform Tools > Apps > Installed Packages
DESelect Segment Access
This is the installed package that will allow you to see DESelect Segment as an option in the AppExchange section dropdown.
- Click on DESelect Segment
- Click on the Access tab
- Enable DESelect Segment in the new business units for the users that need to have access, or click 'License all current and future users' to give all users in that business unit access.
- In each business unit that needs to have access, go to AppExchange > DESelect Segment. You will see a message indicating DESelect is not enabled for that business unit.
DESelect Automations Access
This package is used by DESelect Segment for backend work. Even if you have the previous package enabled, you'd need to enable DESelect Automations too.
- Click on DESelect Automations
- Click on the Access tab
- Enable it in the current BU
Ask DESelect to enable the new BU
Once you've followed all the steps above, you'd need to attempt to access DESelect from the new Business Unit at least one, and then you'll get a message indicating the BU is not yet active in our servers.
You can then raise a ticket to support and ask our team to activate your BU, indicating the MID, and if you want to add the Syncronized DEs (if applicable)
