Yes! A user can mark a Selection as a template.
DESelect allows a user to create a Selection that can be marked as a template. It enables a user to include descriptions and instructions that allow a creator or an administrator to store more information about a Selection.
A Selection that has been marked as a template can only be modified by the user who created it or an administrator. This is to avoid a template being modified by the rest of the users or to avoid deleting a template by accident.
A Selection that has been marked as a template can then be copied by the rest of the users and modify it depending on the description and instructions provided by the creator of the template or administrators.
How to set a Selection as a template?
- When creating a new Selection, click on the three dots icon and click on the "Create Template" button.
- A modal will appear and will enable you to provide a description and instructions regarding the Selection. A user can provide a 'Selection Description' which enables the creators and administrators to give an insight regarding the essence and use of the Selection.
- To set the Selection as a template, check the checkbox labeled 'This selection is a template'. After this, the creators and administrators can provide 'Template Description' and 'Template Instructions' that enable them to store information about how the template should work and the steps that need to be taken to complete the Selection.
- Click the Save button.
A Selection that has been marked as a template will be indicated with a checked checkbox under the Template column on the Home page of Selections. Now, the rest of the users can copy and use the template.
