Organizing and quickly accessing your most-used folders is essential for an efficient workflow in DESelect Segment. The “Add to Favorites” feature helps users streamline navigation by allowing them to mark important folders for easy access later on. Here’s how it works and why you should start using it.
Why Use Favorites?
In DESelect Segment, users often work with multiple folders containing data extensions, selection templates, or shared assets. Manually searching for a frequently accessed folder can slow you down, especially when managing complex segmentation projects. By marking a folder as a favorite, you can:
Reduce search time – Quickly access your go-to folders without browsing the hierarchy.
Simplify navigation – Keep your workspace organized and avoid getting lost in nested folders.
Enhance productivity – Focus on creating and managing segments instead of hunting for resources.
How to Save a Folder as Favorite
Follow these steps to mark a folder as a favorite:
Navigate to the Folder
In the folder structure, browse to the folder you want to save as favorite.
Click the Star Icon
Next to the folder name, you’ll see a star icon. Click the star to mark the folder as a favorite.
The star will be filled in to indicate it’s now a favorite.
Access Your Favorites
Once saved, your favorite folders will appear in a “Favorites” section at the top of the folder list.
Simply click this section to jump directly to your marked folders.
Tips for Using Favorites Effectively
Limit your favorites list: Avoid cluttering it by only saving folders you use daily or weekly.
Review and update regularly: As projects evolve, remove old favorites that are no longer relevant.
