Append Data Extension is the process of writing the results of many Selection Criteria to one Target Data Extension.
Append Data Extension is often used when you have many sources with similar structures, which records you want to combine and store in the same Target Data Extension. Eg, combining all email addresses of all contacts from different Data Extensions.
Below are some notes to consider when working with tabs/sources;
- Right-click to rename or copy an existing tab/source
- x icon to delete a tab/source
- + icon to add a new tab/source. Currently, there is no limit on the number of tabs/sources you can add
Each source or tab works completely separately from the other. You can have completely different data sources or filters.
When mapping, you need to switch between the sources/tabs and ensure to map the necessary Available DE fields to the Target DE fields.
