How does in previous and in next filter types works?

The in previous filter includes records where a date field falls within the previous number of days, weeks, months, or years from the current date.

Example:

You want to find customers who purchased in the last 30 days.

Order Date → in previous → 30 days

Common Use Cases:

• Identify customers who recently engaged

• Pull email opens from the past week

• Find form submissions in the last month

• Generate rolling windows for churn analysis

in next filter type

The in next filter includes records where a date field falls within the upcoming number of days, weeks, months, or years from today.

Example:

You want to target customers who's birthday is in the upcoming month.
You would apply:

Birthdate → in next → 1 month

Common Use Cases:

• Send reminders for upcoming renewals or events

• Highlight expiring offers

• Schedule follow-up emails for upcoming actions

• Prepare for future lifecycle milestones
