Error: Request failed with status code 401 (also known as 401 Unauthorized) is an HTTP status code that indicates a user (like a web browser or application) tried to access a resource but failed to provide valid authentication credentials.

In simpler terms, it means that the system requires you to log in or provide authorization, but either:

• You are not logged in.

• Your login credentials (like a token or API key) are incorrect or expired.

• Your account doesn’t have the necessary permissions to access the resource

To prevent these errors, ensure the following:

1. User Permissions: Verify that users have the appropriate permissions as specified in the Required Permissions for DESelect Search in SFMC article.

2. Marketing Cloud Subdomain: Check that the Marketing Cloud Subdomain is correctly configured. For guidance, click on Need Help? located under the Marketing Cloud Subdomain input field.
