The "Cannot create a datafolder with a ParentFolder property of null" error indicates that DESelect is trying to create or access a Data Extensions folder in Email Studio, but it cannot find the required folder in the expected location.

How to resolve this?

You can check the following:

1. Verify if there is a folder named DESelect in the root of your Data Extensions in Email Studio.

2. If the folder does not exist, create a new folder named DESelect at the root level (not inside any other folder).

3. Once the folder is in place, try running your Selection again, the issue is often resolved by this step.
