Timestamp Custom Value also known as the GETDATE() in SQL allows you to create a new field and add the timestamp as the value. It can be converted to a specific timezone of your choice.

How to create a Timestamp Custom Value?
- Go to Custom Values section > Add new value button
- Provide a name for the Custom Value > Apply formula to a field > Click Next > Timestamp > Click Next
- Choose the format on how you want the timestamp to appear either including both date and time or only time. Optionally, convert the timestamp to a specific timezone
- Save and drag-and-drop the new Custom Value to the Target Data Extension fields
Scenario
You have a Data Extension (Contacts) with contacts that you want to add to an existing list of contacts. When you add the new contacts you also want to add the date each record was added to the list at the local timezone to which they belong (e.g. CEST).
